Ari Marcopoulos STOOPZ Book
STOOPZ chronicles New York’s fledgling skateboard scene from the early 90s, of which will be a book signing with Ari Marcopoulos himself, inside the OHWOW Book Store 227 Waverly Place, New York, from 6-8pm on Tuesday, September 21st, 2010. Free slice of pizza and beer with every book purchase.
These photographs inside STOOPZ document the charismatic individuals composing this specific group of skaters and the urban locations they frequented. The work poignantly captures the mood of the time, and its pioneers, just as this now legendary skate movement began to take form.
